Demonstrating the proper way of cleaning toilets on World Toilet Day 2014

Children and teachers from 30 schools and communities in the Unilever sponsored program gave practical demonstrations in the proper way of using a toilet. The program was led by the school children with teacher support. The students used various methods to carry their message including street dramas, innovative demonstrations, debates and songs. The teachers who were trained by Save the Children in Hygiene and Sanitation Improvement supported the children by guiding them and sharing their knowledge with the community.

Sharing the knowledge will produce good health habits at school, home and community. Good health behaviour will reduce absenteeism of school children. And this will improve health and education for children and their community.
