Save the Children, World Vision Lanka and University of Colombo partner to conduct first ever national level research on online violence against children

Colombo, 26th February 2020. Save the Children signed an agreement with the University of Colombo on 17th February 2020 to conduct a research on online violence against children in Sri Lanka. The research will be carried out by the University’s Social and Policy Analysis and Research Centre (SPARC) and will be the first national research on the cyber exploitation of children, not only in Sri Lanka, but in South Asia as well.

Save the Children works with plantation companies to ensure child protection through Child Rights Business Principles

Colombo, 28th January 2020.  Twelve children from the tea estate sector had the opportunity to share their experiences in child led advocacy and monitoring as well as membership in children’s clubs at Save the Children’s forum on Child Protection in Plantations held in Colombo last month.
