UNCRC@30: Children's views on Child Rights in Sri Lanka

This report based on children’s consultations was launched as part of the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the United Nation’s Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). Sri Lanka ratified the UNCRC 28 years ago in 1991. The consultations were carried out to understand children’s views on the status of their rights today. 128 children between the ages of 11 and 18 from both Sinhala and Tamil communities and representing all demographics took part the consultations held from October to December 2019.
